How to choose the right location for installing drilling equipment

1. Drilling equipment The location Needed Determined by the design of the drilling positions;
2. The area of the site should be determined based on the different types of drilling equipment, auxiliary machinery, and circulation systems.
3. Site Orientation: For vertical drill holes, the site layout should primarily consider space for installing the complete set of equipment, along with auxiliary facilities, and local seasonal wind directions. In summer, the drilling rig should ideally face directly into the prevailing wind direction, while in winter, it should be positioned away from the dominant wind direction. For inclined boreholes, the orientation of the site is determined by the borehole’s azimuth; therefore, the site’s longitudinal centerline should align precisely with the borehole’s azimuth line.
4. Drilling equipment When preparing the site, minimize earthworks and excavation as much as possible, and construct it in a stable area. The site must be level and structurally sound.
5. Building a foundation on flat ground simply requires ensuring it’s smooth, stable, and properly equipped with drainage ditches. On sloped terrain, while maintaining quality standards, the approach typically involves cutting away higher areas and filling in lower ones. Alternatively, a "less fill" method can be used—but any filled sections must be thoroughly compacted to prevent settling or collapse.
